Lecture 1: Age Ain't Nothing But a Number!

What does it mean to be spiritually mature?

We all get tired of hearing, “You’ll understand when you’re older.” We can’t help but wait for the moment when someone will finally believe we are responsible adults—able to take care of ourselves for a change! Unfortunately, we always focus on trying to take responsibility for the small things—we’re responsible enough for a cell phone, a car, and staying home alone. But when is it time to take responsibility for our spiritual maturity?

When and how do we claim the love that the Lord gave to us? How do we take it, preserve it, and more importantly, own up to it? This first lecture will cover the basics of taking the steps necessary to get to the Lord’s loving arms. We will cover what spiritual maturity looks like, and what it is comprised of, and why it is absolutely necessary we take these essential steps. Now is the moment we have all waited for—we ARE older, and we are finally mature enough to understand this precious gift!

Lecture 2:Beware of Falling Rocks

What stops us from becoming spiritually mature (obstacles)?

Spiritually maturity wasn’t meant to be easy. But we’re ready for the challenge. The Lord has equipped us with the armor we need to defend ourselves from the sins of the world. But what use is that armor if we don’t recognize those pitfalls and traps? We won’t always see them nor are they easy to distinguish.

Let’s use this lecture to discuss the threatening works of Satan and his attempt to stop us from the achieving the everlasting joy of spiritual maturity. Let’s find those pitfalls so we can arm ourselves!

How do we attain spiritual maturity?

Understanding what you must do is one thing, getting there is another. This is the final part of our guide to spiritual maturity. Using what we’ve learned over the previous discussions, now is the time to make the right decisions and pursue the righteous cause. God is here for us and we must take advantage of this opportunity.
